This variety of amethyst is mined from  the Las Vigas Mine, Vera Cruz Mexico and often comes in a beautiful lavender shade of purple.

Vera Cruz Amethyst crystals have such amazing luster and clarity. They range in color from a very light shade of lavender to a very rare deep purple coloring. They can actually form with a variety of attributes such as phantoms, single and double terminated points, as well as in cluster form. Rarely, even as enhydro, which are crystals with moving water bubbles encased inside them.
