This amazing replica of "Tinker" is made of Polyurethane Resin with a Steel stand

 Height: 42 Inches; Width: 22 Inches;

 Depth: 34 Inches

Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the most famous predators to have ever lived. More than 50 specimens of T. rex have been discovered, however very few of them were young adult or juvenile skeletons. This was until the discovery of "Tinker" who was identified as "one of the most scientifically: significant and most exciting T. rex skeletons ever found by paleontologist Bob Bakker. Tinker was discovered in 1998. from the Hell Creek Formation in northwestern South Dakota and is thought to be the first nearly complete juvenile/sub adult T. rex ever found at 70% complete. Tinker is 2/3rds adult size but only 1/4th adult weight.

This is a museum quality cast replica made with a durable polyurethane resin. It was molded directly from the original restored skull, not a 3D printed skull or a sculpture. The resin cast is made on demand and is produced using methods that preserve all of the fine details found in the original specimen.

Display size: 42"x22"x34" as displayed with mouth open, not including the display stand. Variations on the color of the skull and the mount (i.e. wall mount) are possible.

Each skull is hand painted to match the original bone.

The weight of the cast plus the stand is 85 lbs.

This purchase includes:

- A full sized, museum quality, resin cast

 - A custom steel display stand.

Due to the size of this specimen, it will be shipped in an internationally compliant wooden crate that is not included in the price. Crate pricing is dependent on current wood rates.

Tyrannosaurus is a genus of coelurosaurian theropod dinosaur. The species Tyrannosaurus rex, often called T. rex or colloquially T-Rex, is one of the most well-represented of the large theropods. Tyrannosaurus lived throughout what is now western North America, on what was then an island continent known as Laramidia.

What did Tyrannosaurus rex eat? The obvious answer is “Anything it wanted,” but paleontologists have uncovered some surprises in the actual mealtime habits of the Cretaceous carnivore. The latest find is a set of 66-million-year-old scrapes on a Tyrannosaurus limb bone found in Wyoming, to be presented at the annual Geological Society of America meeting in Baltimore, Maryland on Monday. These scratches were clearly made by a large predator with serrated teeth, and study leader Matthew McLain says that T. rex itself was the only carnivore around at the time capable of creating such damage.

Researchers estimated that an adult T. rex could bite with a force up to about 57,000 newtons (12,800 pounds). (Juveniles didn’t even come close, with a wimpy bite of about 4,000 newtons, or 880 pounds.) While not the strongest bite of all time, it appears to have been plenty to dispatch an Edmontosaurus or Triceratops caught unawares.
