Thescelosaurus is a genus of small to medium-sized neornithischian dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 69–66 million years ago. Fossils of this genus have been found in North America, particularly in the Hell Creek, Lance Creek, and Scollard formations, suggesting it was among the last non-avian dinosaurs before the end-Cretaceous extinction.

Thescelosaurus was a bipedal herbivore, with a robust and compact body, well-muscled hind limbs, and shorter forelimbs. It measured around 3 to 4 meters (10 to 13 feet) in length and weighed approximately 200–300 kg (440–660 lbs). Its skull was elongated, with a relatively blunt snout and leaf-shaped teeth, indicating an herbivorous diet.
