When will my order get to me?

All orders are shipped from Wyoming, USA within 48 hours Monday - Saturday 8am - 5pm. Orders placed on Sundays will likely ship the following day. We have not yet experienced delays due to COVID-19 or during holiday season, but ordering early always has it's benefits. Shipping within the United States typically takes 5 to 10 business days after the package has been shipped to be delivered to your requested location. International delivery could range anywhere from 14 to 30 days, it all depends on which country and your local carriers that deliver there.

Carriers we use

We use the following carriers to deliver our orders:

USPS
UPS
FedEx
DHL
The majority of our packages ship with USPS or FedEx, we calculate whichever becomes cheapest to mail.

Anything you may purchase that is large or takes a crate, we will typically use UPS.

Order Tracking

If a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail will not have tracking numbers.

Shipping Rates

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to. Should your shipping costs be too high, do contact us directly so we can work together to find a lower cost. Sometimes weight or size of a box matters, typically we've found that purchasing more small items into a box with a larger item gives the customer a better value of their purchase.

All international customers are required to pay their country's customs rates or taxes upon delivery.

Back Orders

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order.

Feel free to contact us prior to purchase for shipping rates to your area. You can email us at instone101@hotmail.com

You had an item I really wanted, but now it's sold out!

We really try our best to order as much product as possible, especially fossils and minerals that are popular. You can always email us at instone101@hotmail.com and let us know what items you'd like to see on our store again, or you can place an order ahead of time for when we visit our wholesalers and you'll have your product shipped as soon as we buy it.

As for the Green River Formation fossils, we dig and prepare them all ourselves and each fossil is unique. Digging season is during the months of May - September, after the rock has thawed and before the winter weather makes digging difficult again. We prepare specimens all year long.
