This beautiful Noreena Jasper is 4.25" x 3.75" x .375"

Noreena Jasper is a striking semi-precious gemstone renowned for its vivid patterns and rich coloration. It originates exclusively from the Pilbara region of Western Australia, specifically from Noreena Station, a cattle property after which the stone is named.

Appearance and Composition

This jasper variety is celebrated for its intricate patterns featuring rusty reds, mustard yellows, and cream or gray tones. These colors often form swirling or fractured designs reminiscent of abstract art or natural landscapes. Geologically, Noreena Jasper is a silicified pelite (mudstone) from the Jeerinah Formation, dating back approximately 2.7 billion years to the late Archaean era. Its composition, primarily silicon dioxide, gives it a hardness of about 7 on the Mohs scale, making it suitable for polishing and jewelry-making.

Metaphysical Properties

In metaphysical practices, Noreena Jasper is associated with grounding, stability, and protection. It is believed to activate the Root and Sacral Chakras, enhancing vitality, focus, and creativity. The stone is also thought to aid in emotional healing, helping individuals navigate life transitions by promoting flexibility and acceptance of change.

Uses

Due to its unique appearance and durability, Noreena Jasper is popular in lapidary arts. It is commonly fashioned into cabochons, beads, and ornamental objects. Collectors and artisans value it for its aesthetic appeal and the intricate natural patterns that make each piece distinct.
