This genuine dinosaur tooth is from the Late Cretaceous Kem Kem Beds in Morocco. The small theropod dinosaurs in this formation have not been identified yet, mainly due to a shortage of articulated bone material. This makes it impossible to determine a species or even a genus based on these teeth alone.

These small teeth are frequently referred to as raptor teeth. A study examining isolated teeth from the Kem Kem beds determined that only a portion of these small theropod teeth can be linked to an unknown Dromaeosaur (true raptor), while numerous ones can be linked to a yet-to-be-identified Abelisaur. The visual disparities between the teeth they assigned to these two dinosaurs are minimal, resulting in the classification of these teeth as unidentified.
