The internal natural pocket area of the clam is replaced with stunning golden yellow calcite crystals that fluoresces and phosphorescence a bright yellow to a light green under short and long wave black (UV) light.

Ruck's Pit was a small cement quarry that produced famous crystal encrusted fossils.
