Unakite is an mottled green and pink altered granite composited of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and colorless quartz. It is frequently referred to as unakite jasper, though it technically isn't a jasper. Unakite's name derives from the Unaka Mountains in western North Carolina where it was discovered.

Unakite has a special connection with one’s heart and aids in the deeper understanding of the emotional body. This stone will help push out “dead weight” feelings we carry within us. Due to Unakite having epidote in it, this mineral is a natural enhancer of any emotion or vibration that is placed around it.
