Tumbled Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. The deep blue opaque mineral is lazurite, while the white stripes and gold flecks are calcite and pyrite respectively. Lapis lazuli has been used since at least 3000 BC as a decorative stone and later crushed and used as a pigment.
