Starbond Super Fast Thin CA glue
"wicking type" ethyl cyanoacrylate super glue. This watery-thin, instant adhesive is commonly used to repair cracks and hairline fractures because of its ability to easily penetrate narrow spaces. Starbond Super Fast Thin CA glue is well suited for strengthening porous, fragile material such as soft wood (balsa), ceramics, unpolished rocks and minerals, and fossil bones. During inlay applications such as turquoise inlays or metal powder inlays, the thin viscosity CA glue penetrates and stabilizes the powder through capillary action. Thin CA glues are often used as a finish by applying several coats, sanding, and then polishing to a high gloss.
Use of Starbond Accelerator is advised when saturation of a porous object is unwanted. The instant cure will prevent Starbond EM-02 Super Fast Thin CA Glue from excessively soaking into the porous object, and prevent waste
Starbond EM-2000 Thick CA glue
Starbond EM-2000 Thick CA glue is an ethyl cyanoacrylate super glue known as the "gap filler". This thick CA adhesive has a high viscosity that gives it strong bonding capabilities and allows easy filling of large voids and gaps. Each drop of Starbond EM-2000 Thick CA glue remains stationary even when applied on downward sloping surfaces. The Starbond EM-2000 Thick CA glue is specially formulated to have an extended curing time to lengthen positioning time for more precise bonding. Depending on the working material, bonding time may exceed more than two minutes. In all such instances, Starbond Accelerator is recommended to speed up bonding time.
Starbond Super Glue Accelerator
Starbond Super Glue Accelerator, also known as CA glue "activator," is used to significantly speed up the drying time of cyanoacrylate super glues. The CA glue accelerator is a solvent based product that can be applied before and/or after CA glue application. Starbond Super Glue Accelerator is commonly paired with thicker viscosity CA glues and black CA glue, as these adhesives take longer to dry. In addition, Starbond Super Glue Accelerator is useful when priming uneven surfaces or material combinations that are harder to bond, and in colder, drier environments where curing time may be delayed. Starbond Super Glue Accelerator comes in pump sprayer and aerosol form.
